“This project is about light, not pain or death. We did not want to be like others — simply an archive. This project is about personalities, values, stories, families, and memories. Collecting the stories of those who have fallen is important, because this too is a form of defending the nation,” says this week’s “Drošinātājs” guest, Dafna Sosnovska, co-founder of the project “Zavdyaky”, in a conversation with Rihards Plūme.
Dafna has created a special platform not only to honor the fallen, but also to ensure that their stories remain part of history and can be studied more broadly by society in the future.
